Dr. DeshaDr. Desha Wood has been intimately involved with Naturopathic Medicine since 2006 and is a graduate of the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She received a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences from Portland State University. Dr. Desha is board certified, as well as licensed in the states of Oregon and Washington.
Her medical expertise includes global health, having spent time in India and Haiti as a volunteer medical student and she later returned to Haiti as the supervising Physician for Naturopaths Without Borders. While there she collaborated with various organizations and local clinics to bring naturopathic treatments and empowering nutritional education to the people of Northern Haiti. Dr. Desha also worked directly with the volunteer medical students, cultivating their passion for global health and natural medicine. |
Currently Dr. Desha resides in WA state and volunteers with participatory development efforts in Nepal. She can often be found at a Broadway show or an Opera, enjoying the local eateries, and exploring the natural beauty of the pacific northwest. |
